Curriculum Overview
Intent
Rise Carr intends to:
- create a personalised curriculum that meets the needs of the students, with the expectation that KS3 students following the national curriculum
- provide a personalised educational experience for all our students
- enable them to achieve their personal success
- become productive, resilient, responsible members of our local community

Implementation
Rise Carr will provide students with:
- a primary style model of teaching to make the transition from KS2 to KS3 more accessible for students who otherwise would find it hard to access a secondary model of education
- a secondary style model of teaching, mirroring the home school’s GCSE curriculum, whilst supporting KS4 students in accessing their Post 16 destinations
- quality teaching and learning
- teachers plan sequenced lessons and assessment to develop students with a depth of knowledge
- skills and content progression skills
- a personalised curriculum to meet all students needs and interests.
- a baseline assessment, so that all students have a clear starting point
Impact
- Students will leave Rise Carr with the necessary skills and knowledge that they can then apply upon their return to their home school or new educational setting
- Students will leave able to make a positive progression to their next steps
