Our Governors
Rise Carr College Governors (members of our Management Committee) have a vital role to play in making sure Rise Carr constantly strives for high standards and enabling all our young people get the best possible education.
Our Governors maintain a strong focus on three core strategic functions:
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
- Holding the Headteacher of Rise Carr College to account for the educational performance of the school and its young people; and
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
The relationship between Governors and the headteacher is strong and supportive. Many of the Governors are serving senior managers in local schools, and the Chair of Governors is an experienced headteacher who between them have the skills, experience and commitment to bring about positive and effective change.
