Subsea ROV Construction
In February 2018 a group of Year 10 and 11 students from Rise Carr College were involved in The Subsea ROV Construction Event in partnership with Darlington Foundation For Jobs and supported by MODUS. The activity took place at Darlington College where the students had to design, construct and test a model subsea vehicle. The idea behind the event was to encourage students to think about subsea engineering as a career and to develop Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics skills in young people. The group from Rise Carr successfully completed the challenge and passed with flying colours.
