GCSE Design and Technology Coursework 2024 Students Produce Outstanding Work
The Year 11 GCSE Design and Technology students at Rise Carr College this year have produced some outstanding project work.
They have been working on their coursework products throughout 2023-24 and have applied their learning and skills in a variety of ways. The contextual challenges set by the examination board were “Playing Games” and “Storing Personal Items” and the students took these on whole heartedly.
Josh Glasper designed and made a Dolls House which can be packed flat, Harry Stanton produced a Storage Box for Boxing Equipment, Reece Dent used oak to make a high end Jewellery Box and Elliott Smith came up with a Money Box designed in the style of a treasure chest (with a hidden football theme inside!).
All of the learners were really proud of their products and their teacher claimed they were the best he had ever seen made at Rise Carr College. The quality and effort clearly shows in the work.
